Finally got a new logo together! Tell us what you think.
Hello Again everyone!
I just wanted to give an overview to everyone of the plans that are being made for Expense Reminder. Currently, Expense Reminder is in BETA. Once we add all of these features, we will take the app out of BETA, and start promoting it full time.
In order of being completed (for now):
1. Optimization for Tablets
2. Design Improvements
3. View Expenses in a Calendar View
5. Budget View
6. Backup and store Expense Database
7. Share Expenses Between people
8. Expense Database encryption
As of April 4th, 2014, our first app – Expense Reminder – has been published on the Google Play Store. This version is currently Ad Supported to help Empty Keg Studios continue to expand and develop our apps. We will also be offering a Premium App for Expense Reminder that will cost $0.99 when launched. At the beginning, Expense Reminder Premium will offer an Ad Free experience. Once Expense Reminder comes out of beta, the regular Expense Reminder app will offer in-app purchases of Premium features. Expense Reminder Premium will have all these features unlocked. When Expense Reminder Premium has all these features, the app will cost more than $0.99. We will only charge this much as a thank you to supporting us in the beginning.
Please rate the app, and let us know what you think. Please e-mail any issues to us, and will will try to remedy them as quick as possible.

Brady here again. As I continue to ramp up everything I realized a huge part of all of this is a great logo. Every great brand has a memorable logo. Also, because I am such a huge fan of design, creating a logo is the fun part. I hope to have something posted here soon.
Another crazy thought to share with everyone. Even though we are starting our development with Android, we are in no way fan boys of either environment. For proof, I am currently writing this on an iPad. Also, I started the blog on a Mac Book Pro. I do all of my design work and almost all code on my Windows 8 desktop. Josh on the other hand actually has an iPhone, and an Ubuntu desktop. The closest thing to fan boy I am is to Palm OS and Josh to Ubuntu Touch.
As always subscribe to us for all the updates and know we are working on our apps.
This is Brady, one of the founders and chief designer at Empty Keg Studios. We are currently ramping up all of our sites and social media for a first launch of a beta app that we have been developing for a long time. I will tell you a little about the beginnings of this software organization and a little bit about what we are working on.
There are currently two people working on a couple applications for personal use. We are close to launching our first beta of Expense Reminder. An Android application that can remind people of when their everyday expenses are due. We know that there are many apps out there that already do this, but what makes this app different from all the rest are three things that we will incorporate into all of our apps. Quality, usability, and design. We wanted a lean app that will look amazing, and be easy to use. I personally do not like giving away my banking information to other sites and apps out there just so they can remind me. For me, on a cell phone, all I want is a reminder.
In the work silo, we also have an app called Home Brewer. This app will help out home brewers everywhere to track their progress, save recipes, and connect with other home brewers. We will start development on this app once we have our first release of Expense Reminder on the Play Store.
We will release a version of one app, and then switch development to the other, and so on and so forth. We hope to release the first beta of Expense Reminder by February, but, we may get lucky and release it in January.
In our team, we have Josh and Brady. Both of us are software professionals in Northeast Ohio. Brady is a Quality Assurance professional with a strong passion for design and usability. Josh is a Developer with a great sense of usability and architecture. Josh is Co-Founder and Chief Architect with Brady is Co-Founder and Chief Designer. Maggie will also be our Documentation and Publications Specialist handling anything where English works take affect.
We will be posting updates here regularly, so please subscribe and keep up to date. We will be offering closed betas here first and giving away premium features for free to some subscribers.
